4th Annual Shoot Out - March 20, 2025
The 2024 Shoot Out began with the sunrise and great weather. The teams were excited to get out and enjoy the day and fellowship all while competing among their peers. Sonny's BBQ was served for lunch, while the men listened to a heartfelt story from Jeremiah Bennett about his experience volunteering inside the prisonwith Xtreme SOULutions.

3rd Annual Shoot Out - March 22, 2024
The 2024 Shoot Out started out with a severe weather warning, but our fearless shooters showed up with raincoats, ready to face the elements. As we prayed for the Lord's hand to be on our event, the clouds parted and moved around us, leaving a pleasantly overcast but perfectly dry morning.
Sonny's BBQ beat the competition to win first place; Boyd Real Estate Development was second, with the combo team of Cepra Landscaping / Turf Solutions / Harrell's Fertilizer in third. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED - you're all winners!

The Annual Shoot Out
On a very chilly morning in October, 2022 a crowd of about 40 folks gathered at Blackjack’s Sporting Clays in Sumterville, FL, for the very first annual “shoot out” to benefit Xtreme SOULutions. Thus began the annual tradition of ten or so teams of four shooters, competing for the coveted clay pigeon trophy.
In all sorts of weather - from freezing cold, predicted tropical storms, to hot and sunny, the teams gather, shotguns at the ready to challenge themselves and others to hit those flying targets.
No matter the outcome, everyone is a winner when lunch is served, courtesy of Sonny’s BBQ – pulled pork with slaw and mac n cheese.
A brief overview of what Xtreme SOULutions is all about is presented by President Blaine Whitt and CEO Kimberly Whitt. Senior staff members from Marion Correctional Institution testify to the strength and effectiveness of the XS program – wardens, colonels and others referencing their many years in the prison system, stating this is the most effective program they have ever experienced.
